When each case style is used

Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word and is common in headings. Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence and suits normal writing and many modern interface labels. UPPERCASE is best kept for short emphasis, since long blocks are hard to read.

Programmers use camelCase for variable names in JavaScript, snake_case in Python and databases, and kebab-case for URLs and CSS class names. Converting between them by hand is slow and error-prone, which is where this tool helps.

Good to know

Title Case here capitalises every word for speed. Style guides such as AP and Chicago leave small words like “of” and “the” in lowercase, so check the result if you are following a strict guide. The programming styles remove punctuation and join the remaining words.
